U.S. 322 Daytime Lane Closure Next Week for Soil Boring in Bethel and Upper Chichester Townships

King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 322 motorists will encounter a single lane closure with flagging between Sommers Lane and Creek Parkway, and Colonial Drive and Route 261 (Foulk Road) in Upper Chichester and Bethel townships, Delaware County, on Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for soil boring, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

This work is in advance of a project to widen and reconstruct the eastern section of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) from just east of Clayton Park Drive to just east of Route 452 (Market Street). Construction on this section is expected to begin in late 2020.

An additional contract to replace the U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) bridge over the CSX railroad and Bethel Road as well as improvements to the adjacent Bethel Road Interchange is also under design.

In spring 2017, PennDOT began construction to widen and reconstruct the western section of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to Clayton Park Drive in Concord, Township. The project is scheduled to be completed in late 2020.

I would just like to personally thank the Upper Chichester and the Aston Police for their help today. And I would like to thank everyone who kept an eye out and helped locate her. I know a lot of people reached out to me and were out riding around looking and I can’t thank you enough. My mother is home safe tonight because of the help of a lot of people, many who never even met her. Again thank you very much I can’t express how grateful my family and I are.

I’m not positive but I believe I saw this lady walking past Chichester High School at 2:45 holding the back of her head to keep her hair from blowing in the wind gusts. She was walking towards the direction of Mill Road on Chichester Ave.

All those leads - I sure hope someone goes and gets her. If you saw her. Go back n look for her
